Stonebase, chippings and stone dust
Stonebase is a graded blend rather than one named chipping size. Granite (gravel) chippings, stone dust and hardcore should not be treated as interchangeable products. Confirm the exact specification before comparing prices or approving a substitution.

Share the quantity and unit, full site address and preferred date. The delivered price depends on the specified material, suitable source, haulage and agreed arrangements. Ask for the quantity basis and any additional charges to be included in the written quote.

Is stonebase the same as granite chippings?
Stonebase is specified as a graded aggregate blend for a base layer; single-size chippings are a different product. Send the grading and intended use from your project specification before ordering.
What grading should I order for a road base?
Use the grading and acceptance requirements specified by your engineer. Ask about a representative sample and any required sieve analysis or laboratory results before loading.
Can stonebase replace stone dust or hardcore?
Do not substitute materials without approval from your project team. Stone dust, hardcore and stonebase differ in particle sizes and their intended roles.
How do I confirm the quantity delivered?
Agree the unit and quantity-check method in writing. Ask about weighbridge documents when weight is specified. Loading photos alone do not prove exact tonnage.
Can you arrange phased stonebase deliveries?
Send the total quantity, quantities per phase, site address and preferred dates. We will discuss source, haulage and timing and confirm each delivery separately.
